This weekend we cruised up the PCH to Topanga Canyon Blvd in search of a few plots of land that we mapped on the internet for sale. It is a new idea that Heffe came up after the Trailer Park was a bust.
For those of you unfamiliar, Topanga is a beautiful little piece of SoCal country located in the Santa Monica Mountains. A little over 8,000 people live in it’s hills. The community is known for its artsy boho flair, and it is even home to a few little music concerts and festivals throughout the year. I’ve been particularly drawn to the area because it reminds me so much of my own beloved North Carolina mountain towns with its windy roads and green vegetation. It’s about as far from the city as we can feel for being but 10 miles from our own home on the edge of a bustling Santa Monica.
We aren’t totally sure of the zoning laws or how feasible the propspect of hauling our camper up there and parking her is, but I was happy to spy that guy, pictured above, peeking up over a hillside as we rounded a corner on Saddle Peak Drive. Below is a look at the view that we were after. It is a picture from a plot of land that we found for sale.
We weren’t quite prepared for the mess of roads and pukey children that we’d have to deal with, so we made it a short trip! Get a load of how beautiful and fun Tuna Canyon Drive is with this quick video of our switchback descent back to the PCH. We are sure to explore this option further soon!
